Generations in Jazz 2026

Generations in Jazz 2026 was such a positive and exciting experience for all the students and teachers involved. We were all provided with the incredible opportunity to hear the American funk band Tower of Power as well as AYJO alongside internationally renowned jazz trumpeter Bert Joris.

While we did not bring home any places Big Band 1 came 4th (Division 1) while Jazz Choir 1 came 5th (Division 1)! All students should be proud of how well they performed. The tenors of Jazz Choir 1 (Kaden M, Sage W, and Finn S) were crowned as the Best Tenors in the Division 1 Large Vocal Ensemble awards. Congratulations to all for the hard work, time, and effort that was put into this competition.

Shoutout to Ollie S for getting Tenor Saxophone 1 in Division 1 Superband, Henri C for Double Bass in Division 1 Superband, Elinor H for Trumpet 3 in Division 1 Superband and Future Finalist nomination, Sage W for Trombone 4 in Division 3.1 Superband, and Jens G for Trumpet 3 in Division 3.1 Superband.
